1. General

---

a. Be respectful to the other members of the forum, and the staff.

b. Refrain from making derogatory and offensive remarks.

c. Keep cursing OoC to a minimum.

d. Keep OoC in the OoC boards. Any OoC discussion in threads should be kept to a minimum, and clearly marked.

e. Keep personal problems out of the RP, and RP problems out of OoC. If you have a problem with someone take it to PM; and if things persist contact the staff.

f. Keep chat speak to a minimum OoC, and completely out of the RP.

g. Do not beg for special powers. Pestering the staff will not help your case.

h. Please, don’t leave you’re name as siriuslvr666. Please sign up with your characters name so we know who you are.

i. On the same note please have your display name have both your characters First and Last name.

j. Please make a new account for each character, and try to keep each one as active as possible. It is highly suggested that you do not make more characters than you think you can handle.

2. Graphics

a. Maximum avatar size is 170x300 (widthxheight)

b. Signature images shoulder not exceed 450x300.

c. Keep images PG-13!

d. If an image stretches the board please either resize it, or link to it instead.

3. Posting

---

a. Posts should be around 200 words, or more. Prepare to be intimidated by some peoples posts, this isn’t an illiterate board.

b. Power playing, god moding, and meta gaming will not be tolerated.

c. Posts should be written in third person: He/She, rather than I/we.

d. Please make sure to mark dialog with “quotation” marks.

e. I ask that you do not color code your posts, as it may clash with the layout if it gets changed. Color codes in Relationship Plots are fine, however.

f. Please refrain from killing other peoples characters without permission. At the same time though, realize that you're character can (and possibly should) die at some point during the game, not everyone can live full, happy, healthy lives.

g. If you’re going to have a thread that has mature content (Either extreme violence or sexual situations), please put an ‘M’ in the thread title as to warn other people who might not want to read it. Otherwise, have at it, and make it good.

4. Characters

a. Keep them as realistic as possible! This meaning you’re character can’t be emo, anorexic, a metamorphmagus, a werewolf, and can read minds.

b. Use variety! Honestly, not every single character needs to be emo or scene. Nor does everyone have a horrible past.

d. ‘Special’ characters must be given permission by the staff. This includes all werewolves, parselmouths, animagi, vampires, and metamorphmagi.

e. There is a uniform, just like in the books, and on the movies! The same exact one too! (Along with this I'd like to note that electronics don't work at Hogwarts, so your characters aren't going to be using CD players and the like.)

f. Students are only allowed to have small pets, as in cats, toads, rats and owls. If you wish to have any other sort of animal, please ask permission from a staff member.

g. All Canon Characters are to be treated as NPCs unless we, the staff, get plotty and want them to actually be played. Remember in creating Canon Descendants that your likely to have already existing relatives in the characters on the site.

h. Obviously, if your character is a 1st year, it won’t know killing curses, and it won’t be allowed to be an animagus. We do stress you use common sense.

5. Amore

a. Relationships take time, don't rush your character into one.

b. Please, not all relationships are perfect. Remember, you’re characters will not get along perfectly.

c. Insert some fights, backstabbing, cheating, and make the relationship interesting.

6. Classes

a. We understand people have lives, so classes are not required. There will be classroom boards though, so feel free to use them if you wish.

b. Similarly professors won't be required to do actual lessons, but they can make "class" threads if they want to.
