O'ahu, Hawaii. Tourist attraction, and home to O'ahu Academy, the largest school for aspiring artists in the country. Build right on the side of the ocean, the school is a high school for students that want it big time. The school is just about any other high school. Except for the fact that the school is located on the most beautiful campus in the world, there's still cliques, drama, crushes, love, and betrayal. Teens from ages fourteen to eighteen are living the life, or so it seems. That's what Demi Lively and the other new students thought. In truth, the school is full of cliques, and the cliques in this school are ten times as important than the ones in other schools. Your clique can decide your future, weather you make it big or not. Who you befriend can kill your chances of stardom. So being in the right clique is important at this school, right? You betcha. The new students are ready to enjoy the sun and the fun. But they have no idea what corruption they have caused without even arriving at the school

O'ahu Academy sent talent agents all over the country to find kids worthy of going to their academy. This year they give five free scholarships to five lucky, talented kids from all over the country. They are not the only new students, they are just the ones who got in free. This year, students such as Demi Lively and four others were accepted into the academy. All of them, very talented individuals, are there for different reasons. But their arrival caused chaos to the school's social pyramid. Because the Queen of the social pyramid, Brooke Carter, was at the First Day Open Mike Night. And on that day, Demi Lively performed right after Brooke. Broke is a very talented singer and piano player, but she got jelous of this one girl. Now, Brooke wants Demi to be in the Island Princesses, the highest clique in the school, so she can savotage her. And when Demi says no, Brooke desides to turn everyone against her and all of the new kids. But the world goes on. The new kids all find cliques to join, and they are loving it. But now that they've all joined up in a clique, the queen turns her group and The Kings, the second highest group in the school into one aliance. And it's them against everyone else. Now, every clique is finding something about someone in another clique to hate or take revenge on.
