Dear Student,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl no later than July 31.

You head to Diagon Alley;;
You burst into the magical alley packed with other students and small shops that seem to fit all of its customers with room to spare. Looking over your list, it tells you that you need books, of course you will go to Flourish & Blotts. And perhaps a pet? You can find them at Eeylops Owl Emporium or Magical Menagerie. Go to Quality Quidditch Supplies, if you are playing to play quidditch. Forgetting something am I? Yes, you need a wand, where else can you go but Ollivander's? We're all set now.

Our heads could do with filling
With some interesting stuff,

You arrive at Hogwarts;;
The magical castle captures your eyes as you sail on to its shores. You await in the Great Hall below the starry skies as you fidget nervously for your name to be called. A tattered hat sits upon a stool as a rip opened at the brim like a mouth and begins to sing. Once its yearly song was sang, it is time to get you sorted by the Sorting Hat.

For now they're bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,

You begin to explore the school;;
You go to the classes, take notes, make new friends, and learn more about magic and your school. Secret passwords that opens passage ways, spells that turn people purple, moving staircases, talking paintings, potions that can swell you up. You meet the house ghosts, who try to help you find your classes or distract you from getting to class. Thats the bell you better not be late or a detention will be issued to you.

So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we've forgot,

And the adventure begins;;
Hogwarts does not only contain classes but adventures as well. Midnight trips to the kitchens with your new friends, quidditch games, house rivalries, or even find romance. Maybe you like to break rules, forbidden trips to the Forbidden Forest, sneaking to Hogsmeade from a secret passage. Or perhaps you will pull pranks on the other students or a teacher. Who knows what can happen between these magical walls of this great school.

Just do your best, we'll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot.
